Profiling for the Future Role of Bar and Deli Managers:
Real Impact was asked to undertake detailed role profiling to identify
‘critical success factors’ for top performance as a
Bar and Deli Manager. The project included:
- Development
of a competency based interview framework to ensure selection
of the right people for the roles – ‘Recruit Right.’
Area Managers were trained to use the new interview format, ensuring
greater accuracy in selecting managers of the future.
- Development
of a Performance based Appraiser and Appraisee framework to assess
and develop performance of both existing and future Bar and Deli
Managers.
In June 2005, these selection and development frameworks
were launched.
Results
Higher performance, reduced turnover, and more effective interaction
and communication within the organisation between various levels.
